St. Frances Cabrini Volleyball Tournament
Volleyball season is fast approaching and we are in the process of organizing the 7th and 8th grade Cabrini Volleyball Tournament. We will be playing at Roncalli High School this year on Saturday, September 12, 2009. Younger students may play in order to put together a full team. The cost will be $50.00 per team. Coaches will be assigned games to referee and each team will need 2 parents to be line judges for those games. WIAA officials will referee the championship round. We will take a minimum of 8 teams to have the tournament up to a maximum of 16 teams on a first come first serve basis. We are planning a pool tournament. The top teams in each pool will advance and then play to make a champion. Medals will be given out to first, second, third place teams. Concessions will be available for the entire tournament.
On Saturday, we will have a coaches meeting at 8:00 am with warm-ups from 8:15-8:30** and 8:30-8:45** (**You will receive your scheduled playing time along with your scheduled warm-up times.) Our Opening Ceremony will be at 8:45 am. The first teams scheduled to play will warm-up at 8:55 am. Tournament games will start promptly at 9:05 am.
Please download the tournament entry form located in the right margin. Please fill out the entry form and send to the address listed below as soon as possible. This will reserve your spot in the tournament. Please keep in mind that entry into the tournament is first come, first serve. If possible, please send your entry fee with the form below. (Make checks payable to St. Frances of Assisi Booster Club)
Please return the roster list as soon as possible. I realize that this won’t happen until your teams are set after school starts. Please get this to me as soon as you can so we can prepare for the day of the tournament. Feel free to e-mail this list to me.
